As an eighth grade U.S. History teacher, I'm in my eleventh year at Granite Oaks, and enjoying every minute of it.  In addition to my teaching duties, I am Curriculum Lead for the History Department and always find assorted clubs and committees that can use my help.  At Spring Break, I have co-chaperoned our East Coast Trip seven times and, this coming Spring, I plan to venture out for my eighth. 

     I am a thirty-seven year California resident, born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.  I have been married to my wife, Lisa, for twenty nine years and we have a twenty seven year old son, Kelly, who resides in Northern Virginia.  Kelly was married in June, 2014 to Brittany and we've joyfully welcomed our new grandson, Beau, to our family on July 2, 2015.

     I love reading non-fiction and biographies, listening to or playing all kinds of music (I used to be in the music business), watching sports (thank you, LeBron, for making Cleveland sports interesting again!), travelling as often as possible (two weeks in France during summer of 2015) and caring for animals.  I also volunteer at the Placer County museums in Auburn and can be found there one Saturday per month. 

     I still learn new things about U.S. History every day and love to share them!
