When is the Granite Oaks Dance Team season?

When do we hold team practices during the school year?
Two days per week. Days/times TBA.
Where does the Granite Oaks Dance Team perform?
We perform at school rallies, fall, and winter Granite Oaks home sporting events. We will also make a special appearance at one Rocklin and one Whitney high school football game. Performances can be any day of the week. There is usually an average of 3 performances a month. Our goal is to promote Granite Oaks, entertain fans, and prepare students who may want to be on the dance teams in high school.
What is the cost to be on the Granite Oaks Dance Team?
Typical cost per season is $800.
When are auditions for the team?
Auditions for the 2024/2025 GOMS Dance Team will be held on April 8th from 2-4pm, April 10th from 3-5pm and April 12th from 3-5pm in the multipurpose room. It is expected that dancers attend all days of auditions to be eligible for consideration for the GOMS Dance Team.
What to expect at auditions?
Dancers will be asked to show their dance technique across the floor with kicks, leaps, and turns. Dancers will be taught a short routine to be performed at the end of each day. We are looking for dance techniques, how quickly dancers pick up new material, performance skills, how much a dancer can improve the second day and of course, a positive attitude! We want you to have fun and show us your love of dance!
How many dancers are selected for the team?
Like any sport, the dance team cannot take everyone and will select the best dancers who audition. We will select between 10-15 members for the dance team.
