PBIS: Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports
The Board of Trustees, the administration, and staff of Granite Oaks Middle School believe that the behavior of students attending public schools should reflect standards of good citizenship expected by members of a democratic society.
Granite Oaks Middle School is a PBIS school. PBIS schools use a data driven proactive approach to establish behavioral supports and social culture on campus.
At Granite Oaks Middle School, we live by The Falcon Creed: Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Resilient.
Everyone on campus is expected to:
Be Responsible:
By being safe, dependable and trustworthy at all times.
Be Respectful:
By being courteous, kind, and cooperative.
Be Resilient:
By being perseverant and working through challenges
The success of PBIS on the Granite Oaks Middle School campus is fostered not only by our students, teachers and staff members but also by the support of parents, families, caregivers and the community. Our collective whole creates a school environment where being responsible, respectful and resilient are the keys to the healthy growth and development of successful young people.
